Enrolling in EDGAR Next Using the DFIN Enrollment Portal

 

Get ready to log in to the DFIN Filer Management portal! Our portal will help guide you through the EDGAR Next process from enrollment to filing delegation. Follow along with the below and get started on your DFIN Filer Management journey.

  1. To log in, go to edgarnextenrollment.dfinsolutions.com to get started.LoginPage.png
  2. If you have an existing DFIN account, click Log in and use your usual credentials.
  3. For new users, click Sign up and enter your valid company credentials to sign up.

Our Support team will receive your sign up request and create a profile for you to enroll within the hour. Your login will allow you to access the DFIN Enrollment Portal and give you access to the Knowledge Hub.

Your CCC will change once you enroll. We recommend ensuring all submitted filings are complete before beginning the enrollment process. This new CCC can be reset back to a previously used one by following the steps in the Creating a Custom CCC article.

Filers who have not reset their Passphrase or CCC since September 2019 must obtain a new Passphrase and new CCC to enroll in EDGAR Next.

Enroll in EDGAR Next

Once you have logged in or Support has created an account for you, you can begin the EDGAR Next enrollment process using the DFIN Enrollment Portal.

  1. Upon login, an Important Notification displays to alert you of the CCC change. This can be changed back immediately after enrollment. See the Creating a Custom CCC article for help with this.
    To continue enrollment, click Proceed to acknowledge the CCC change.

  2. Select how you would like to continue the enrollment process:

Section 16 filers

  • When enrolling insider CIK accounts, if multiple parties are involved in filing Section 16 and you self-file, the CEO CIK should delegate to all relevant parties, including DFIN.

Let DFIN Assist

If you choose Let DFIN Assist, please follow these directions.

Choose to enroll a single entity or multiple entities.

Enroll a single entity

If you selected to enroll a single entity, take the following steps.

  1. Enter your Preferred Annual Review Date.
    💡You will need to complete an Annual Confirmation on this day.
  2. Enter your Entity Access Codes, CIK, CCC and passphrase.
  3. Click Save & Continue.
  4. Next, enter your 1st Account Administrator's information.
    The first Account Administrator is the EDGAR Point of Contact.
    💡You'll be able to see the Summary of previous choices for your entity during this step.

  5. Select Save & Add 2nd Administrator and enter their information.

  6. Click Save & Continue.
  7. Review the information provided and click Submit to enroll in EDGAR Next.

A confirmation page will display to confirm your enrollment. Be sure to follow the steps for What's Next after Enrolling in EDGAR Next to ensure your enrollment and delegation processes are complete.

Enroll multiple entities

Take the following steps to enroll multiple entities at once. You will need to use our SEC-approved template to upload entity information.

  1. After you select Enroll multiple entitles, click Download Template.
    The Enrollment Bulk Template Excel file will download to your computer.

  2. Open the Excel file and enter the information for each entity.
    💡Select the tab "Guide" in the Bulk Enrollment Upload Excel file to view the template's requirements and notes, including country codes.
    💡Be sure to add information for both the 1st and 2nd Account Administrators.

  3. Click Upload Completed Template and select the completed Excel file.
  4. The system will check the file for errors. Review and correct errors and reupload.

  5. Review your uploaded entities on the next screen and click Submit.

Self-filers

If you chose to name the administrator roles on your account, take the following steps.

  1. Click Continue, and you'll be able to Enroll a single entity.

  2. Select the checkbox is the company enrolling is a Single-Member Company, i.e. the company has a single owner who acts as the sole shareholder, director, and officer.
  3. Enter your Entity Access Codes, CIK, CCC and passphrase.
  4. Click Save & Continue.
  5. Next, enter your 1st Account Administrator's information and click Save & Continue.
    The first Account Administrator is the EDGAR Point of Contact.
    💡You'll be able to see the Summary of previous choices for your entity during this step.

  6. Enter the 2nd Account Administrator's information and click Save & Continue.
  7. Review the Summary and click Submit.

Email confirmations

After enrollment, Account Administrators will receive an email to confirm the CIK was successfully enrolled and they will receive emails for each Account Administrator added during the enrollment process.

If you selected to Let DFIN Assist, you will also receive an email about DFIN users added as Account Administrators for the Entity.
